New MonoMyth! : The Fountain

For those of you who are into interpreting very difficult stories, the Fountain is one for you. With rich symbolism, a tri-fold plot (three characters who are in essence one.)

In order to help understand this movie, I’ve written an article going through the steps and thought patterns involved in this story. I’ve also started a MonoMyth for anyone who wants to finish and re-submit to the Archives

come on now guys, this movie isn’t that hard to figure out… while quite good, the’re not a lot in the subtext that the average viewer will miss.

Ryan,
Oh I agree that to some of us the movie isn’t hard to figure out, but the MonoMyth of it is harder to spot due to the three characters.

Also, most of our traffic is from students doing school assignments and that requires us less assumption on the part of the reader. Don’t forget that according to Meyer Briggs and Kiersey tests, 80% of the population is largely literal and less developed as far as intuition.

Be well and thanks for the comment!
